Hypnotherapy without work knowing

Hypnotherapy without work knowing.

It sounds somehow sneaky. Behind people’s backs.

Shouldn’t you be open and honest about how you’re feeling?

Let people know you’re out of sorts? Maybe others need help too.

Well you can.

But life and the work place isn’t perfect.

You hold your hand up and there’s a paper trail.

Others then know how you’re feeling. They might even see it as a weakness.

You might even have a Wellness Team and a Mental Health lead.

But on the other hand there’s culture.

Still in the armed forces, emergency services, The City, at C-suite and board level there can be a view that being out of sorts is a perceived weakness.

And one answer is to sort it out yourself.

Hypnotherapy so there’s no work record.

You might even have healthcare plan as part of your package, but feel that discretion is the better part of valour.

Right let’s stop her for a moment.

I’m not asking you to be sneaky. I’m asking you to read the room. What’s the mood music. For some reason - I’ll come to this in a minute - you’re out of sorts but you know you’ll be judged.

What can I do to help?

Hypnotherapy without work knowing is all about you taking care of yourself.

Here are some examples:

Work is getting too much. You work in a high-pressure environment and it’s getting to you. For example, something competitive like sales, or a surgical ward.

You’re expected to be ‘tough’. This can be the armed forces, prison officer, police force, for example. These jobs show no mercy and maybe you feel you can’t ask.

Everyone is looking to you for answers. You’re at board level, C-suite, educational department head, you’re at major or above in The Army, Lieutenant Commander in The Navy, or Squadron Leader in the RAF.

Work’s fine, home is out of sorts. You’ve relationship problems, drinking too much, challenges with children and family.

A phobia. It might not even relate to your daily job but you don’t want people to know of a perceived weakness. You’re scared of heights, spiders or flying for example.

What is hypnotherapy?

Put simply it’s me ‘talking’ to your subconscious mind.

The subconscious mind is responsible for almost everything we do and for all ‘automated’ behaviour.

Habits, behaviours, self-sabotage, phobias, low mood, and self-doubt all feel like they happen ‘to’ us, but they don’t.

Our subconscious mind creates what we experience, and you can learn to change that.

And hypnotherapy can help you speed up those changes by work directly with the subconscious and bypass any limiting belief

In real terms it means you are only ever one thought away from a totally different experience and life path.

Your past experience does not define your future and hypnotherapy shows you how to ‘reprogramme’ the subconscious mind for a calmer life.

That’s why I call my business The Gentle Mind - you’re a better version of yourself when you’re calmer.

Hypnotherapy without work knowing. What are the most common uses?

Work place stress. Your job is getting to be overwhelming. Using hypnotherapy without work knowing we can work on building your resilience.

Personal life. It’s spinning out of control. There’s a relationship problem. A problem with the kids. Someone close is seriously ill.

Addiction. Drink, drugs, gambling, porn. We can work to get life back on track. Figure out why this has got to a serious level and walk away now.

Phobias. What to others may appear silly really bothers you. Typically these are the most common ones - heights, flying, spiders, rollercoasters, IBS, emetophobia (vomit).

Let’s talk. Discreetly.

I’m James Thomas. A Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist. I’ve worked with people who for all sorts of reasons don’t want others to know what’s going on.
