Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is something that up to one in ten of us suffer from at some time in our lives. It can be from a recent event or something deep-rooted in your past.
PTSD can be a result of your profession: serving in the emergency services like fire-fighting, or time in the armed forces on active service.
Alternatively, PTSD can be brought on by an event in anyone’s life – seeing a loved one die, surviving a car crash, or being assaulted. Or, PTSD may be the result of a deep-seated event from childhood. Something you are still coming to terms with, or raises its head from time to time and still causes acute distress.
Whatever has happened you now feel extreme fear, horror, or helplessness and it affects your life: in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning like relationships.
Using CBT and hypnotherapy we can change the way you think, feel, and act about what has happened to you.
